How to Open Parent Compass

From a link

• Tap the link someone sent you by text, email or chat.
• Parent Compass opens in your phone's web browser (such as Safari or Chrome).

From a QR code

• Open your phone's camera and point it at the QR code.
• Tap the link that pops up on the screen.
• If nothing pops up, try your camera's QR scanner or a free QR app.

Add it to your home screen

• iPhone (Safari): tap the Share button, then 'Add to Home Screen'.
• Android (Chrome): tap the ⋮ menu, then 'Add to Home screen'.
• Now Parent Compass opens with one tap, like an app.

Do I need to sign in?

• No. You can read every guide, use the Letter Builder, find resources and change the language without signing in.
• Make a free account only if you want to save your child's profile, appointments, notes and letters. Your saved information stays private to you.

If it asks for a password

You may have an old preview link. Ask the person who shared it for the public link to Parent Compass.

For organizers: get a link to share

• In the Lovable editor, tap Share at the top right, then Share preview.
• Copy the link. Anyone can open it without a password for 7 days. After that, make a new link (and a new QR code), or publish the app for a link that never expires.

For organizers: turn the link into a QR code

• Chrome on a computer: open the link, click the share icon in the address bar (or right-click the page) and choose 'Create QR code', then 'Download'.
• iPhone or Android: open the link in Chrome, tap Share, then 'QR code', then save or share it.
• Or use any free QR code website: paste the link and download the image.
• Test it first: scan the QR code with your own phone and make sure Parent Compass opens without asking for a password.

For organizers: share it with families

• Text or email the link, or post it in a parent group chat.
• Print the QR code on flyers, handouts or a sign at meetings and events.
• Add one line, for example: 'Scan with your phone camera to open Parent Compass — free, no password needed.'
• If your link expires, swap in the new QR code everywhere you posted the old one.
